Asahi Brewery in Nagoya, Japan

Recently, I went to the Asahi Brewery in Nagoya with a couple of friends.  The brewery is located near Shin-Moriyama station on the JR Chuo line.  From the station, it takes about a 10 minute walk to get the brewery.

The two main reasons why we decided to go this brewery are: 1.) the English tour of the factory 2.) the three free glasses of beer.

The English tour of the brewery was really interesting and informative.  I found out that Asahi can fill and cap 1500 cans of beer in one minute.  Also, I found out that Asahi was founded in Suita City in Osaka Prefecture.  The name Asahi refers to the place where the first brewery was founded in Suita City.  Plus, Asahi Super Dry was released to the pubic in 1987.  After a few years in the market, Asahi had and still has the biggest market share of beer in Japan.

If you are vistiting or living in Nagoya, the Asahi brewery would be a great place for a tour.  The tour of the brewery lasts for about 45 minutes.  Afterwards, you will have 20 minutes to drink 3 glasses of really fresh beer.

Really fresh Asahi Super Dry!!  You can easily tell the difference between this beer and the one that you would find in the can.
